The Construction group is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, collecting required construction paperwork, final cost analysis of the project, monitoring of the project in progress, and approving district project invoices for the Division’s Fiscal Support Supervisor for payment.
Area Project Managers-Construction coordinate construction plan review with other state agencies: the State Fire Marshal, the State Health Department, and the Arkansas Building Authority (ADA compliance). After all reviews have been completed, the Construction group prepares a letter for the Division Director granting the district approval to begin construction.
One of the Construction group has a primary responsibility to manage and maintain the Division’s database, including the MAPPS database used in the web tool.
